Unreal Engine 5: Shaders and Editor

Learning Unreal Engine 5, multiple smaller projects were made with the ultimate goal of shooting a short Virtual Production demo of driving in real-time.

Amongst these projects were the following:

  • Shader and UI – For controlling a dynamic changing weather and season system.
  • Scanning of real world objects and location for integration into Unreal Engine 5.
  • Hardware set-up and tinkering of state of the art film and virtual production equipment.

My Role & Skills Used

Mainly responsible for visual effects and controlling of shaders.
A custom developed UI to control this, that was accessible by both technical artists, set designers and film crew alike.
